Apple’s new Series 4 watch gets the Hermes treatment

Apple has launched their updated smartwatch the Apple Watch Series 4 with a range of new Apple x Hermès watch bands. Design changes to the new smartwatch include thinner bezels and a larger display. Apple COO Jeff Williams described the watch as the number one watch in the world and emphasized its role as a communication device, a fitness device and a health monitoring tool.

Not only can the watch track heart beat data and heart rhythm, it can offer you a full ECG using just an app. Other features include a faster chipset, a new gyroscope (that can detect if the wearer falls, useful for elderly users), a redesigned digital crown that offers users haptic feedback, and a speaker that’s a good 50 percent louder.
The “caseback” is now made from black ceramic and sapphire crystal and the watch is available in aluminum and stainless steel versions. You can choose from grey or black stainless steel, or the new gold stainless steel variant.

To appease their high fashion fans, the company’s Apple Watch Hermès Series 4 edition will offer handcrafted leather straps and exclusive watch faces. Choose from single or double strap watch bands in ombré colors that match the shifting colorblocked display of the watches. The color combinations include navy blue/ivory/orange, pink/burgundy and a double strap version that features two shades of pink and burgundy.

Single tour straps are priced at $339 while the double tours cost $489 on the Apple website.
