Bang & Olufsen’s BeoVision Eclipse TV gets a new hand-crafted wood-finished edition

Remember the incredibly beautiful BeoVision Eclipse TV launched by Bang & Olufsen last year? Well, the Danish brand has come up with an even more aesthetically irresistible version of the 4K TV. The critically acclaimed BeoVision Eclipse OLED TV’s most striking feature is its built-in soundbar, which arguably is the best sounding in-built audio system on any television on sale currently. Called the SoundCenter, it came with either aluminum or fabric grille on the original. On new Eclipse Wood Edition, the soundbar wears a beautiful handmade oak panel which takes inspiration from the wood-paneled electronics of the ’70s and ’80s.

The new wooded design touch is the work of award-winning Danish designer Torsten Valeur, best known for a slew of B&O products such as the BeoSound 1 and 2, and the BeoLab 5 (swoon). The new oak wood cover has been carefully designed to ensure that it has no negative impact on the SoundCenter’s sound quality. “Oak is a material that patinates beautifully, and by adding this option to our flagship TV we reinforce our commitment to provide people with the flexibility to match our designs to their personal interior style,” said Kresten Bjørn Krab-Bierre, Senior Concept Lead at B&O. The Wood Edition Eclipse will be available from April this year in 55 and 65-inch versions, with suggested prices of $10,995 and $15,995 respectively.
