Would we pay $85 million for a home? Well, if it’s located on the luxe streets of Malibu and comes with a superstar legacy attached – we might just! And tempting us on this front is Cher’s ultra-fab mansion that is now on sale for the said amount.

What the luxurious residence entails:
Situated on a 1.7-acre plot of land, the property spells luxury like no other. The main house spans 13,200 square feet and comprises seven bedrooms. Its living space is done up by Los Angeles-based interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard and features a mix of classic and contemporary touches.

One can spot a striking entrance featuring limestone block walls, bronze doors, and carved panels procured specially from India. This is complemented by a fireside living room with a hand-painted gold-leaf-stenciled and tea-stained ceiling, and a Moroccan chandelier.

The formal living room includes a tin ceiling with Moroccan bronze lanterns and a range of other luxe touches. A gourmet kitchen with the best of cabinetry, a silver tile backsplash by Ann Sacks, and high-end Wolf appliances further complete the space.

An awe-inspiring fleet of amenities:
The home’s interior courtyard boasts a Moorish-style fountain along with bronze-studded walnut doors that open to a panic room (with dual closets and a sitting space) as well as a luxe hammam-inspired bath equipped with Turkish wood screens.

Other amenities include an indoor-outdoor gym and movie theater, along with a climate-controlled wig room (where the Grammy winner keeps close to 100 hairpieces), an infinity-edge pool, a tennis court, and a separate guesthouse.

The $3 million home is now listed for $85 million:
Long ago, the “Believe” singer stated that the home is inspired by properties she’d visited in Venice, Italy where “from every room, there is an ocean view.” She also noted that the home is perfect for entertaining her many guests and that she often hosted “intimate dinners in the family dining room” and larger “tented parties in the courtyard and pool area.”

The singer purchased the property for under $3 million back in 1989. It was then built exclusively as per her preference over the next decade by builder Wallace Tutt III and designer Ron Wilson with panoramic views from Point Dume to Santa Monica and Catalina Island in tow.

The home is currently listed with Robert Kass and Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland for an asking price of $85 million.
