DKNY and Pony gear up to launch new NYC inspired sneaker

New York City has been an inspiration for artists, photographers and designers across the globe and the city is now playing muse to two brands that have long held a close association with its streets. Sneaker company Pony and DKNY have joined hands to create a new sneaker that pays tribute to the city that never sleeps. Both brands have turned to NYC for inspiration through the years and it is fitting that they say goodbye to 2014 with one last shout-out to the Big Apple.

dkny-pony-unisex-sneaker-2The sneaker itself is a minimalist spin on Pony’s classic M100 Hi-Top sneaker, featuring all white nappa leather livened up with multiple textural details like perforated leather patches, snakeskin and leather shoelaces. The individual Pony and DKNY logos will be visible on the sides of the shoe while the collaboration logo (DKNY +Pony) will be seen on the back of the shoe.

dkny-pony-unisex-sneaker-3The sneaker is unisex which means that you’ll spot it on everyone from Cara Delevingne to Kanye West (dare we hope for a toddler version for little North West?) in the spring. White is always a spring/summer favorite and we predict that these sneakers will be a huge hit with the New Yorkers that have inspired them.
