With a father like this, Elon Musk does not need enemies – Errol Musk does not drive a Tesla. He states Elon is an underachiever and he is disappointed with his centibillionaire son.

Elon Musk is a visionary, entrepreneur, and innovator, most importantly, the world’s richest man. That’s plenty to be proud of; any parent would be over the moon, but not Errol Musk. Musk’s dad admitted he isn’t proud of his billionaire son and doesn’t drive a Tesla. The radio interview host asked, “Your offspring is a genius. He’s worth so much money and has created so many things, you can’t take that away from him. Are you proud?’ The 79-year-old man replied, “No. You know, we are a family that have been doing a lot of things for a long time, it’s not as if we suddenly started doing something.” Perhaps being rich or a billionaire is no biggie for the Musk family patriarch, as Elon isn’t the only wealthy family member. Errol made it clear his other children are also upto some ‘interesting things.’ The man clearly favors Elon’s younger brother Kimbal calling him his pride and joy.

Kimbal, a billionaire, is a South African restaurateur, chef, and entrepreneur who owns The Kitchen Restaurant Group and is not nearly as wealthy as Elon. We have all heard of and experienced peer pressure, but this parental pressure outdoes those stresses. Unfortunately, Errol Musk, the electromechanical engineer, doesn’t stop at that weird statement. He adds that his billionaire son and Tesla CEO isn’t as happy as he could be regarding his success.

The most jaw-dropping statement from the septuagenarian was that his son Elon Musk, an inspiration for millions, is running five years behind schedule and might be an underachiever. ‘He is frustrated with progress and it’s understandable. I know it sounds crazy, but we tend to think like that as a family. He’s 50 now and I still think of him as a little boy. But he’s 50, I mean that’s an old man.’ The deriding lingers from bashing his achievements and reducing them to shambles to commenting on ElonMusks’ physique from recent shirtless photos taken in Greece, ‘Elon is very strongly built but he’s been eating badly,’ said the father of the world’s richest man recommending Garcinia Cambogia – a supplement aiding weight loss without the grind of exercise or dieting.

Errol Musk

With a father like this, who needs a foe? Elon Musk is no fan of Errol either. In an interview, he once shared, “Almost every crime you can possibly think of, he has done. Almost every evil thing you could possibly think of, he has done.” Tongues were set wagging recently when the father of the SpaceX founder had children with Jana Bezuidenhout, his 34-year-old stepdaughter.

The self-proclaimed “ladies’ man” finds this wholly normal and doesn’t mind the four-decade age gap. “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce. They still don’t like it. They still feel a bit creepy about it because she’s their sister. Their half-sister,’ Errol said.

Errol Musk indeed paints an ugly picture of fatherhood, is borderline vitriolic and overtly critical of his go-getter son who achieved everything this world offered, aimed for the stars and did well there too. Going back to the interview, Errol jested that Elon would send him up in his spaceship as a ‘guinea pig,’ and we think he probably should! The hypercritic really needs to take a good, hard look at the mirror before becoming a world-class faultfinder. To err may be human, but to Errol is unkind.
