Emirates just got more exclusive! The luxury airline recently signed the deal to serve the world’s most renowned Champagnes exclusively on its flights. Yes, you read that right! The trio of bubblies includes Moet & Chandon, Vevue Clicquot, and Dom Perignon. According to the contract, Emirates will be the only commercial airline that will serve champagne coming from the three brands onward 2024. The airline purchased the rights recently which will be in place for a whole year at least.
As currently applicable, Dom Perignon will be served in first class across all routes globally, Veuve Clicquot will be served in business class on routes to the Americas and Europe, and Moet & Chandon will be offered in business class on routes to Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, including Australasia.
Committed to its spirits serving practice, the airline has invested over $1 billion in its wine program over the past 16 years. For those unversed, the Emirates Business Lounge Dubai even boasts a special Moet & Chandon bar and the brand’s champagne is also available for purchase to economy class passengers.
In addition to this, Emirates also owns its own wine cellar in France that reportedly houses up to 6.5 million bottles and has time and again served rare spirits such as the Dom Pérignon Plenitude 2 on select routes to keep passengers pleased.
