As parts of Japan still try to bring back the glory they lost to the devastating earthquake, there is still help pouring in. In a bid to help the city of Ishinomaki, Ferrari put up a special charity auction in the island nation that saw funds over $724,000 being raised by the Italian auto giant. Attended by a strong crowd of 200 bidders at the Italian embassy in Tokyo, the auction saw the first Ferrari FF being sold in Japan. The car was successfully bid for by Tokyo-based architect Masaharu Seno. The auction also brought shirts signed by the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Formula 1 team under the hammer. With the proceeds collected, the Italian luxury car makers plan to build a school for the town’s children.
