After introducing lipsticks, blushers, and nail paints – Hermes is at it again! The marquee has recently launched an all-new makeup line that is inspired by the freedom of the outdoors and is aptly titled ‘Plein Air’ (translating to open-air).
Featuring a range of skin products that promise to enhance the complexion, the collection is focused on natural ingredients as opposed to synthetics. Its luxe blotting powders are made using hemp fibers, wood pulp, and soft Kozo fibers from paper mulberry trees.
On the other hand, the Natural Enhancing Complexion Balm comprises a hydrating formula of hyaluronic acid, evening primrose oil, Baikal skullcap, and white mulberry. It offers broad-spectrum protection of SPF30 PA+++ and comes in 10 shades; each packed a sleek white tube with a representative color band.
Other products include two refillable compact powders, designed in the tradition of the Rose Hermès blush cases, the radiant glow powder and radiant matte powder, a face powder brush assembled by a French brush-maker, and more.
Most of the items in the range come scented with notes of arnica, sandalwood, and green tea, an original fragrance concocted by in-house perfumer Christine Nagel. They further bear the packaging aesthetic of Pierre Hardy – Creative Director of Hermès jewelry and footwear line and are thus great for gifting purposes.
The Plein Air collection is now available at Hermès boutiques and select retailers worldwide.
