Hilton’s first Palace Hotel to open in May

Luxury and exclusivity reach new horizons with Hilton International’s first-ever palace hotel which is set to open in Saudi Arabia on 15th of May. The Palace of the Orient, or Qasr Al Sharq, hotel will have only 46-suites (the largest guest suites in the region), personalized butler service, and incredible interior design features. The palace which faces the Red sea is a nine-story triangular-shaped, granite building with oriental architectural design. The palace comprises two Palace suites in addition to eight Royal Suites, 12 Executive Suites, and 24 Junior Suites all of which are fully equipped with high-tech technology for audio-visual equipment, WiFi internet access, and automated controls for lighting, curtains, temperature control, and refreshment centers. The ceiling is done Trump-style in 60kg of gold leaf which took some poor workers six months to apply. The floors of the hotel were done in different types and colors of marble across the world, and 1,200 crystal vases from Italy are placed throughout the hotel. Beds will have 600 thread count cotton linens from Venice and each duvet cover is stitched with one million threads of gold embroidery.


Guests can enjoy the best of Middle Eastern cuisine at Mataam Al Sharq oriental restaurant and also at Bice which is a world-renowned elegant Italian restaurant serving traditional Italian food. At Qasr Al Sharq, the lavish welcome experience starts the moment they land at the airport- luggage retrieval and transport by means of a luxury limousine driven by specially trained chauffeurs are taken care of. The palace also endows with the personalized butler service, the first such top-level, personalized service in any hotel in the Kingdom. This hotel is a palace, and it will be run as one; the service is not equivalent to a hotel stay.
