It’s good to read about happier times for the Gates family, who has been in the limelight for way too long owing to the news of Bill and Melinda Gates’ divorce after 27 years of marriage. Now that the divorce is done and dusted, it’s time for the wheel of life to move on, and it’s time to talk marriage, well, bridal shower, to be precise.
Bill and Melinda Gates’ oldest daughter Jennifer, a medical student, is engaged to Egyptian showjumper Nayel Nassar, 30. No matter the recent ordeal the family went through, mommy Melinda threw her oldest offspring an intimate and endearing bridal shower. The bridal shower venue was the ex-power couple’s gem-of-a-property, the $125 million lakefront eco-mansion nicknamed Xanadu 2.0.
It was just the most magical setting for a bridal shower on the sprawling grounds of the 66,000-square-foot property overlooking the lake. Bride-to-be Jennifer was seen having a great time in the company of her closest friends and family members. Jennifer looked resplendent in an elegant white number, wrapped snugly with a pale pink shawl. The images that made it to the internet paint a perfect picture with pretty women frolicking in the picturesque setting, with mimosas in hand and a stunning long table decorated in fifty shades of pink.
Jennifer Gates shared her euphoria on Instagram with her 440k followers by posting an image of a smiling Melinda. She wrote, “Thank you for this incredibly special celebration, @melindafrenchgates. So deeply grateful for all the amazing women in my life who advise, support, and uplift me. Cheers to this new chapter!” Not only did mommy throw Jennifer an unforgettable bridal shower, but she also has plans to increase her children’s inheritance.
Earlier, the kids were only getting a meager $10 mn each as inheritance, but the divorce made mommy dearest reconsider her decision and is very inclined to make changes. In an earlier interview, Gates had mentioned that leaving “kids massive amounts of money is not a favor to them” and that “Melinda and I feel good about it.”
The very-talked-about venue was a home built for the Gates family in 1997, where Bill and Melinda Gates raised their three kids. It must have been quite a childhood as not many can boast of homes that feature a trampoline room, an artificial beach with natural Caribbean sand. The house also flaunts an artificial stream with pretty little real fish and an indoor swimming pool. This gorgeous mansion was the perfect bridal shower venue, but questions like who finally got to keep the Washington eco-mansion that took seven years to build are unanswered. This sprawling Washington property is one of several luxury mansions owned by the former couple, but a favorite as Melinda French Gates chose it for such a special celebration.
