A lot has changed for Kim Kardashian over the past year other than just her hair color. After axing the West from her name for good, she has gone back to being just ace businesswoman Kim Kardashian. With the withdrawal of the ‘W’ initial from her name, the KKW Beauty won’t make much sense. However, the good news is one year after filing to trademark Skkn by Kim, Kardashian made a foray into the business with a nine-piece skincare line under the brand name Skkn, launching on June 21.
Kim shared the news on her Instagram handle. She wrote, “I’m excited to finally introduce to you SKKN BY KIM, a rejuvenating nine-product skincare ritual that I have developed from start to finish. I’ve been so privileged to learn about skin and skin care over the years from the world’s top dermatologists and estheticians, and every bottle from my new line is filled with the knowledge I’ve accumulated along the way. You will experience refillable packaging, and clean, science-backed ingredients designed to nourish all skin types, tones, and textures at all stages of maturity. I created this line so that everyone can feel confident in their skin, and I can’t wait to finally be able to share it with you!”
Kim Kardashian also discussed the product lineup, telling Allure, “I didn’t want to launch with three or four products like it was recommended [to me] at the beginning because that’s not my skincare routine. That’s not realistic for me.” The first Skkn collection will launch nine new products — a cleanser, toner, exfoliator, hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, face cream, eye cream, oil drops, and night oil in sleek refillable packaging. The neutral hues immediately remind you of her favorite nude color schemes seen on nearly everything from her mansion, cars, Skim collections, and now even on Skkn.
E online shared, “What began as a psoriasis diagnosis became the catalyst for my journey of skincare discoveries, inspiring me to learn more about my skin and how to care for it. Working with some of the top dermatologists and estheticians over the years has given me the incredible opportunity to learn from their expertise— and I knew I had to share my learnings.” Fans will get their share of Skkn show on June 21 at 9 a.m. PT/ 12 p.m. ET with prices ranging from $43 to $95.
