Jeff Bezos’s ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, has filed for divorce from her second husband, Dan Jewett – The billionaire has removed her husband’s name from all her philanthropy ventures.

MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of the billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, will soon be the ex-wife of Dan Jewett, her second husband. The philanthropist and science teacher of a private high school in Washington married in a hush-hush ceremony in March 2021. A little less than two years later, marital problems surfaced when the science teacher’s name suddenly disappeared from Scott’s philanthropic pledges filed for divorce for the second time in a row, shared Page Six. Their union was not all about love and commitment but also philanthropic partnership, with Mr. Jewett publicly promising to join her in donating their enormous fortune to good causes. In March 2021, MacKenzie Scott used the Giving Pledge site to announce her marriage to Jewett.

Mackenzie and Dan romance could have sparked at the Lakeside private school where Scotts’ and Bezos’ children go.

She added his name to her vow to donate most of their wealth to charity. “I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others,” Jewett wrote, accompanied by a photo of himself and Scott. Owing to the recent consequence, modifications have been made to Scott’s Giving Pledge page that now includes a new headshot of only her. In addition, recent recipients of grants from Scott have thanked only her, leaving Jewett out of the picture that’s no longer pretty, The Times reports.

Jewett’s absence is also noticed on Scott’s Amazon author bio, plus she unceremoniously removed his name from a Medium post she had written about their philanthropic gifts last year. The billionaire philanthropist’s divorce comes three years after she and Jeff Bezos announced they were splitting following 25 years of marriage. Jewett did not contest the divorce, and a prenuptial agreement had already assigned who would get what.

Mackenzie has changed her Amazon profile as well.

The attorney who represented Scott in her 2019 divorce from Bezos refused to respond. As far as Scott’s charitable endeavors are concerned, she promised to donate about $3.9 billion to 465 nonprofits in the previous nine months, bringing her total to over $12 billion. She recently gave away a $1 million slice of her $38.8 million national gift to Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City. Scott’s split from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ was the most expensive divorce in history that left her stinking rich with a whopping $38 billion and the envious title of the third wealthiest woman in the world.
