Widely considered one of the best chefs in the world, Michelin starred Spanish chef Ferran Adrià is collaborating with Disney for what promises to be a delicious project. Called Te cuento en la cocina, (“I tell you in the kitchen”) the project is a multimedia series that aims to teach children and families how to cook healthy meals inspired by their favorite characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars films.
The series includes a cookbook, an app, and video segments and features fun recipes ranging from scrambled eggs with Ratatouille’s Remy mouse to Jungle Book Juice made from cantaloupe, orange juice and lime juice. Other recipes include kid friendly broccoli, spinach and chickpeas, and eggplant padawan. All in all, the series offers 60 kid friendly and wholesome recipes that are fun to make and eat. The only downside? The series is only available in Spanish!
This new venture is interesting territory for the magician behind the legend that was El Bulli, but it certainly isn’t the first time he has introduced family friendly recipes. Adrià may be known for his precision and almost scientific cooking techniques, but back in 2011, he launched a cookbook titled The Family Meal: Home Cooking with Ferran Adrià that included 100 recipes inspired by the meals that the staff ate at El Bulli before it closed down.
