Designed by renowned architects Juan Collignon and Manolo Mestre, Casa Tau is also touted to be the most expensive Airbnb in the world. It features five separate villas along with plush oceanfront suites, guest rooms, and lush gardens that are circled around a central open-air pavilion with vistas of the pool and a private beach.
In all, 27 guests can put up at the property’s 12 bedrooms and have access to 16 bathrooms, a huge terrace, an exercise room, and a stone pizza oven. Additional features include concierge services, private chef with all meals, wait staff, bartender, daily housekeeping and linen change, complimentary laundry service, spa and massage services, and more.
Built using locally sourced adobe, stones, and tropical hardwoods, Casa Tau’s highlight is a spectacular, open-air palapa that offers front-row access to sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. The Punta Mita resort is further home to two of Mexico’s top golf courses, Bahia and Pacifico.
Guests in the mood to galivant further can head to the nearby towns on El Anclote and Sayulita to enjoy a meal or shop for souvenirs. And those up for a dance and some merry can visit Puerto Vallarta, about a half hour’s drive from the resort.
A stay at Casa Tau is priced at $38,000 per night and $262,900 per week. But who said the good things ever came easy (or cheap), right?
