There’s no love greater than a mother’s love, there is also no greater indulgence for a mum than providing the best for her little tot. So while some might roll their eyes in disapproval, I (first-time mum here!) couldn’t help but smile when I heard of the mum who presented her two-year-old a $200,000 wardrobe!
Only the price of a Porsche Panamera Turbo, the wardrobe boasts of labels like Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Prada bought from the United States, Hong Kong and Korea. Outrageous, you say? It gets better. Mummy dearest also threw a fashion-themed birthday party in a rented hotel foyer – complete with a runway for the tot to showcase her new wardrobe to friends, in Taiyuan, Shanxi province in China. The mother spent over 1 million yuan ($157,000) on the outfits. The doting, obviously-very-rich mother justified her purchase by saying she wants her daughter to experience the finer things in life. “We have no financial issues, so I just want my daughter to have a better life,” she was quoted saying. That, my folks is how the other half live.
Sure the two-year old tot might not remember this grand gesture from her mum now but we are sure we’ll be hearing more from this mother-daughter duo in their quest for a better life.
