MV Agusta’s Rush 1000 is a drop dead gorgeous 212 hp drag racer

The incredible MV Agusta Rush 1000 that made its debut in the concept form at EICMA 2019 is finally ready to enter into production. Only 300 units of the drag-strip-inspired hyper-naked motorcycle will be made, making it a very exclusive and desirable product. The limited-edition motorcycle is based on the regular Brutale 1000RR and shares some design and hardware components with the limited-edition Brutale Serie Oro. Powering the hyper-naked is the same 998-cc, four-cylinder, DOHC motor found in the regular variant. The engine produces 208 horsepower, which can be further pushed to 212hp with the addition of a racing kit that includes an aftermarket SC Project exhaust and ECU remap. MV Agusta claims a top speed of “over 300kph” (186mph+).

The aesthetic changes that differentiate it from the regular Brutale 1000RR include things like the specially designed headlight, spoke wheel on the front, and the ultra-minimalist rear sub-frame. The different rear cowl section also has an integrated round taillight. The rear wheel also gets an ultra-cool cover to make the motorcycle more aerodynamic by reducing the coefficient of drag. In addition to that, the Rush 1000 comes with a comprehensive electronics package that includes a launch control system, wheelie control, eight levels of traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter. Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motors SpA, said: “With the production of the Rush 1000 starting this coming June, we are right on track with respect to our five-year industrial plan announced a few weeks ago. As we are breaking new ground in our expansion journey into new segments and new markets, MV Agusta will continue to produce amazing works of exclusive motorcycle art from its headquarters in Italy, remaining true to its heritage of performance, elegance, and state-of-the-art technology. I am sure this incredibly attractive model will meet the enthusiasm of the proud new owners.” The MV Agusta Rush 1000 is priced at €34,000 (about $37,000) and pre-orders are already being accepted on the company’s website.
