Mercedes has a special treat for performance enthusiasts from the land of the rising sun. A brand new C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition, which is extensively modified and not just for the name’s sake. To start with, AMG has pegged the 6.2-liter engine from 451 hp to 480hp. On the outside, it has 19-inch multispoke alloy wheels in black with a red trim, a carbon trunk lid lip spoiler, unique exhaust tailpipes, and red brake calipers. On the inside, it has hand-crafted AMG floor mats with Nappa leather piping, the AMG door lock pins, and the addition of a standard Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system.
First deliveries are scheduled to start in November 2012, with pricing in Japan set at 15 million Yen (about US$192,000 or €154,400), or about 4.25 million Yen more than the regular C63 AMG sedan.
