Nord is a name taken in the same breath as Solaris, Eclipse, Dilbar, and Azzam, the absolute best superyachts in the world. For a change, this article is not about Nord’s transponders, refuel costs, or Mordashov’s massive empire. After extensively discussing the $500 million luxury vessel, its 464-foot length, swimming pool, sun terrace, spa, diving center, and tender garage, we will show you the grandeur in pictures instead of merely describing it. The tour of megayacht Nord begins with a sprawling living room. The formal lounge displays striking nautical blue couches with surrounding window panels for uninterrupted 360-degree views.
Among gorgeous decor elements, the one that stands out immediately is a grand piano. Walk a little further in, and you are met with two sets of round tables occupying the vast space at the two ends. The same vertical glass windows maintain uniformity in the interiors allowing ample natural light to illuminate the white and blue areas.
Several opaque objet d’art flank the space around the circular seating arrangement in the living room while a tall glass sculpture takes center stage near the round tables on the same floor.
The grey-blue nautical aesthetic is seen in furniture pieces. Undulating elements border the giant TV to create a wave-like appearance.
The ergonomic workstation appears uncluttered, with a pull-out settee and a touch of color with a floral vase to break the neutral monotony.
The grand dining area seats 14 with extra seating at the back. The massive table looks lavish with an eye-catching combination of wood and marble. This formal space is accentuated with mood lighting, large windows, and decorative elements.
Next, we come across what Nord superyacht is eminently recognized for – its massive arsenal of toys and tenders. The tender garage holds more than most mansions can.
Everything from boats, jet skis, and even quad bikes are fitted in the commodious garage.
The highlight of Nord megayacht’s tender garage is the hovercraft. The Nord branded hovercraft can travel over land, water, mud, and ice by lifting itself off the ground with large blowers that create an air cushion beneath the craft.
Part of the adrenaline-pumping assemblage is striking jet skis. The image reveals that Mordashov’s boat holds at least four of these.
A $500 million megayacht cannot be complete without a personal submarine. Nord boasts one of the best in the world- a Triton personal submarine.
The tender garage is also home to a hoard of expensive SUVs, all in black. From its looks, these could be stowed away for Russian tycoon Alexei Mordashov’s security staff. The man worth $25 billion is placed fourth on the list of wealthiest men in Russia and indeed must be traveling with a string of security cars.
Finally, we get a dekko at what the pool looks like, which seems positively remarkable. A glass barrier divides the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool opens into the deck, but most remains covered, which is an excellent way of making it useful in every season and habitat.
The video shows us first-hand the elegance and enormousness of a megayacht in the truest sense of the term. From seemingly unending corridors to well-appointed interiors and the most insane tender garage, the Nord is a massive ship that’s impressive from the word go.
Where is Nord megayacht?
$500 million Nord megayacht is sailing under the Russian flag on friendly waters, protected from the western authorities. As per the ship-tracking website Marine Traffic, it is currently located (at the time of writing) at Okhotsk Sea on its way to Petropavlovsk from Vladivostok. The owner of this tuxedo-donning warship Mordashov is the main shareholder and chairman of Severstal, Russia’s largest steel and mining company.
