Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez seem to be a good team! From enjoying the pleasures of life together to their philanthropic endeavors, the duo is excelling on both fronts. The couple spotted sunbathing on lavish yachts in St. Barts or partying with friends but at work in Colombia. The Amazon founder and his partner are working on 30×30, a commitment to protect 30% of the planet’s land by 2030. Sanchez shared a post on Instagram, where she explained their work alongside the President of Colombia, Ivan Duque.
She posted, ‘The Bezos Earth Fund has pledged $1 billion to support the protection of 30% of the planet’s land and sea by 2030. Our efforts will focus on important regions for biodiversity, hold large carbon stocks, and where governments have demonstrated commitment. #30×30.’ The photos feature Sanchez and Bezos in the Amazon, with the mind-numbingly beautiful backdrop. They’re joined by representatives of Bezos Earth Fund and foresters from Colombia.
Sanchez’s message read, ‘Jeff and I are deep in the Amazon with President @IvanDuqueMarquez of Colombia advancing our commitment to #30×30 — protecting 30% of the planet’s land and sea by 2030. @BezosEarthFund has already committed $171 million to conserve and restore both the Tropical Andes and a 4-country marine preserve in the Eastern Tropical Pacific which will be the largest transnational marine protected area in the world — and there is more help to come. 30×30 is a massive undertaking requiring many allies. It’s one we must take to help protect our planet.’

Real-life superheroes !!’ It’s refreshing to see Bezos being called a superhero after being compared to Lex Luthor in the past. A petition on Change.org addressed to Blue Origin claimed Bezos was Lex Luthor, disguised as the supposed owner of a super successful online retail store. However, he’s actually an evil overlord hellbent on global domination. This will surely change the way the world looks at Bezos. From being the centibillionaire who was groaned at a star-studded charity dinner for donating just $500,000, he will now be the man attempting to save the planet.
