Hermes is on a roll even during COVID-19; fans can’t have enough of the luxury brand and they aren’t ceasing their top-class services either. It created waves with the Arceau L’Heure De La Lune by Hermès at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie. And on the first day of its reopening, a single Hermès store in China clocked in $2.7 million in sales. In the latest news coming from the Hermès stable, The Petit h pop-up featuring a 3,700-piece collection of one-of-a-kind items including, a car change tray, a toy sailboat, and a porcelain skateboard sculpture among many others will be exhibited at South Coast Plaza. We are going to talk about a dainty, delicate yet strikingly attractive piece of the collection- the porcelain skateboard. As the name suggests it is made of porcelain which obviously renders it to be a carefully handled collector’s item. Seen on top of the skateboard is a lovely and colorful dodo bird design which if carefully seen is a geometric mesh of design and colors. This lends it a very unconventional aesthetic and makes for a grand addition to your classy living room.
For those who want to use it as more than just a decorative piece in your living room mantle, one could actually double it up as a serving tray; though for $4,625 it could be an extremely expensive one. Probably not worth the risk right? The porcelain skateboard with dodo-bird design measures 23.2″ long x 4.7″ wide x 1.2″ high in size and can be bought from their Hermes website.
