Hermès may be best known for their silk scarves, but the brand has been generating interest for a while with new and off-beat products. The newest additions to their brand are a pair of bicycles: le Flâneur d’Hermès and le Flâneur sportif d’Hermès that straddle the words of luxury and design.
Le Flâneur d’Hermès is a leisure bicycle that’s lightweight and durable with a streamlined design. The shock absorbing bicycle is hand-made in France by Time. Its body combines RTM technology carbon fibre and polyamide fibre with a monobloc frame. The bike uses weather resistant leather on the handlebar grips, saddle, carry handle and luggage rack support. The 8 geared bike, promises no derailment and allows for gear changes even when the bike is stationary. Hydraulic disc brakes make this an ultra-safe ride. The Flâneur d’Hermès is available in three colors: Blanc d’Espagne, Charcoal and Red.
Meanwhile the other bike: Le Flâneur sportif d’Hermès is a sporty city bike that has all the features of its leisure counterpart combined with 11 gears. The bikes are available in Small, Medium and Large sizes guaranteeing comfort for every kind of cyclist.
We usually prefer to do our cruising (both in the city and in the country) in the air-conditioned comfort of a luxury car. But, Hermès’ charming two-wheelers might just change our minds.
