Commenting on it, Meredith O’Shaughnessy, creative director, experientialist, and CEO, Meredith Collective, in a statement said, ‘Inspired by The Savoy’s incredible history, opulent architecture and talented teams, I’m excited to create the most magical and beautiful Christmas experience London has ever seen.’

She further added, ‘We want to transport guests on a journey through time, starting with our unique champagne-inspired forest with moments of delight for all ages.’ Complete with golden trees, adorned with fairy lights and pink laser cut leaves inspired by the works of Kay Nielsen, and great amounts of bubbly – the space is truly unlike any other!

The air at the forest will also be perfumed with Champagne – for a complete sensorial experience and will feature a special menu of Laurent-Perrier cocktails, served alongside The Savoy classics, including the ‘Cassiopeia,’ made with a squish of Champagne and edible gold dust, and the ‘Orion,’ featuring a twist on the classic eggnog.

Teetotalers too have several options to indulge in, including an afternoon tea menu complete with white chocolate and morello cherry ganache snowflakes, Christmas pastry parcels of roasted pear jelly, and a caramel crémeux.

Commenting further, Franck Arnold, Managing Director of The Savoy, said, “Meredith and our team have worked to create a decorative theme that is inspired by the Art Deco illustrations of Kay Nielsen, who worked between 1910 – 57. It’s an immersive experience that has sparkle, but style.”

He further added, “Our primary aim is to create joy. That’s our aim year-round, but given we’ve just lived through hard and strange times, it seems even more important at Christmas this year.” The Reverie is now welcoming guests with bookings open at thesavoylondon.com.
