These $4000 Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh inspired sneakers are already sold out

While there hasn’t been yet been a whisper of what Virgil Abloh has planned for Louis Vuitton while he holds the creative reins of the fashion house, other brands are celebrating the Chicago native’s rise to the top of the luxury food chain. New York-based artist Ceeze teamed up with Relevant Customs and Richie Range to create a sneaker that pays fitting homage. Called the Off Louis Air Jordan 1s, these shoes add LV’s signature monogram to the template of the Air Jordans that Abloh had created for Nike.

In place of the words Air on the side of the soles, you’ll find Louis and Vuitton, however Nike’s Swoosh logo stays put on the side. Brown panels on the top and sides, give the show a monochromatic look. The shoes are made from authentic LV leather, but LV monogram products themselves are usually made from a coated monogram print canvas.

Just 10 pairs of these coveted sneakers were created despite each one being priced at a whopping $4000, they are already out of stock. Over the weekend Kanye West was revealed to still be mulling over the idea that his former creative collaborator (West took umbrage at having Abloh referred to as his creative director) was now making luxury apparel at Louis Vuitton.
