Struggles of owning exotic cars go well beyond just footing the eye-watering service bills. Even if you’re lucky enough not to have your supercar crashed by a valet driver, there’s always the risk of vandalism, which has become more common over the last few years. We recently came across an Instagram video in which a nasty lowlife wearing a hoodie can be seen jumping on a parked McLaren 720S with the clear intention of causing damage. While there’s very little information available on the incident, what we could gather was it took place in Uxbridge, England. The video was originally posted by a person named George Gehdu whose Instagram bio says he’s a supercar dealer and the owner of the 720S.
While the miscreant was immediately caught by the cops after the incident, the vandalism was already done. The extent of the damage is not known but the person can be seen jumping on the front and read windshield hard enough to crack them both then bouncing on the car’s rear wing, which could also have caused damage to its actuators. Furthermore, the supercar’s right door mirror also seems to be broken. All of this easily add up to $25,000 or more in damages; the potent supercar currently has a starting price north of $310,000 in the US. We don’t know if the vandal is a jilted lover taking out his anger on an expensive supercar a few days before Valentine’s day or simply a dirtbag fueled by rage and jealousy. However, the issue of supercar vandalism has become a real threat. The internet is full of such stories. What a shame!
