Spring ushers in a sense of freshness! And in line with that, fragrance house Guerlain has launched its novel scent – the Chery Blossom Millésime. It aims to celebrate the 170th anniversary of its signature Bee Bottle and is unlike any other!

The perfume pays an ode to the well-known Japanese tradition of ‘Hanami’ which literally translates to ‘flower viewing’ in Japanese. It boasts a fruity and floral mood with top notes including bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit, and green tea, and heart notes of sakura blossom, almond, cherry, jasmine, and powdery lilac that are finally rounded off with a white musk base.

For the launch of the Cherry Blossom Millésime, Guerlain partnered with Parisian embroidery house, Ateliers Vermont to design its iconic decanter – the bee bottle. It comes with a three-dimensional floral embroidery resembling a golden cherry tree branch in blossom, carvings of golden pearls, and tubes and corollas made of pink fabric and pearls.

Commenting on it, Ateliers Vermont’s Creative Director Jean-Eudes Néton said, “We gave the bottle an expression, through all of these materials, fabric flowers, sequins, pearls, tubes, golden thread, to bring it to life. It isn’t just about the smell; it has become tactile. Other senses have been aroused.”

Each 125 ml bottle of the fragrance comes with a 20 ml travel spray in a white leather sheath, as well as a funnel to transfer the fragrance. The numbered edition is limited to 3000 pieces only and is currently available online on guerlain.com.
